Hey Guys! Let’s see how I did in another ranked battle in Splinterlands! I played against another opponent called WEATHERLOVE and had a mana cap of 48. This wasn’t too bad as I still had enough mana to play all my 6 cards. This battle was a bit different due to it being under the Brute Force modifier. This means that the cards with the highest power will attack first. I decided to use my death element this time rather than my usual fire element. I wanted to see how my death deck would do.

Match Details

Mana Cap: 48

Elements Used: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon

Ruleset Used: Brute Force

Modifier: Highest Power Attack First.

My Cards

Summoner: Thalgrimore

Card 1: Nim Guard Captain

Card 2: Sorrow Harvester

Card 3: Vengeful Monk

Card 4: Great Bear Druid

Card 5: Lenore Nevermore

Card 6: Spinetail Fiend

I played Nim Guard Captain as my first card. I wanted to play this card in the front to defend against my opponents attacks. I played Sorrow Harvester as my second card. I played Vengeful Monk as my third card. I have used this in previous battles so I decided to use it again. Great Bear Druid was my fourth card. Again this is another card I have been using recently. Lenore Nevermore was my fifth card. For my sixth card I played Spinetail Fiend. Overall I was very happy with my card choices as I had enough mana to play all my six cards.

When I started my battle I noticed that my opponent had also played six cards. They had used a completely different deck to me. Their cards looked really interesting and I was unsure how my death deck would do. Some of their cards had armour meaning I would need to get through this.

The Brute Force modifier made this battle interesting as those with the highest power would attack first. Usually I don’t really think about these modifiers however I was interested to see how this would affect my cards. I hoped that my higher powered cards would attack first.

My enemy had some strong cards with great health and attack. Their first card had armour meaning it could take a while to defeat. I was a bit nervous with my first card as I wasn’t sure how well it would do. However, I had other cards to back it up and hoped this would help me win.

I was keeping track of how my cards were doing. I was particularly interested to see how my Sorrow Harvester and Lenore Nevermore would do. I don’t always play this exact combination so was interested to see how we would do. As we both had different types of cards I wasn’t sure who would come out on top but just wanted my cards to last and defeat my opponent.

I won the battle! I was very happy with how I did. I got +20 to my rating and gained 88 Glint from this match. I am still in Division 8 but I am getting closer to moving up a division by winning. I was pleased that I won using my death element. I have been using fire a lot recently but this has shown me that I can get good results using different elements. I felt my cards were a good choice against WEATHERLOVE and am glad I had decided to play this combination.

Looking into the future

As I am still in Division 8 my goals are to keep winning more ranked matches and improve my rating. I would also like to experiment with different elements. I had a great experience in this battle and hope to keep gaining more wins.

Thanks for reading my battle report!
