Hey guys! So today I have another ranked battle to talk about. I played in the Modern Ranked Bracket I and faced off against TESHAV. The mana limit was 60, so I decided to play with my death deck. I had a lot of options with the high mana pool, so I went with a deck that I wanted to try out.

Battle Deatils

Mana Limit: 60

Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon

Ruleset: Standard

Modifier: Witch Hunt (Ranged units can do 2x Ranged Damage to Magic units)

My Team

Summoner: Thalgrimore

1st: Nim Guard Captain

2nd: Sorrow Harvester

3rd: Vengeful Monk

4th: New Beluroc Aegis

5th: Lenore Nevermore

6th: Black Widow

I used Thalgrimore as my summoner. I started the deck with Nim Guard Captain in 1st. I wanted to test how my deck would do with it at the front.

Next I added Sorrow Harvester and Vengeful Monk. Then I put New Beluroc Aegis in 4th. I finished off the deck with Lenore Nevermore and Black Widow. I was interested to see how this deck would do against different cards.

The Witch Hunt bonus means Ranged units can do double damage to magic units. I was interested to see if it would help at all.

Battle

I was facing off against TESHAV. When I joined the arena I saw they had a different combination of cards. I was interested to see how my death deck would do. The battle started with an ambush. Both teams are ready to fight. With 60 mana there were a lot of strong cards to play.

I was really interested to see how my deck would do with Nim Guard Captain as my first card and others behind. The battle continued and both teams attacked each other. I was watching the battle to see who would lose cards first. Overall the deck did well and the battle ended after only 4 rounds. I was happy with defeating TESHAV as I didn’t think it would be that quick.

I earned +40 Rating. This brought my rating to 760 and I am still in division 8. It was great earning 40 rating from one battle. Hopefully I can keep earning Rating and move up a division.

I was also rewarded with 94 Glint. This was also a great reward. I always love earning Glint from ranked battles.

Overall it was a great battle with my Death deck. I defeated TESHAV in only 4 rounds and earned a good amount of Rating and Glint. I was interested to see how the Witch Hunt bonus would work.

Future Goals

I am currently on 760 Rating and my goal is to move up from division 8. I need to earn some more battles to move up but I will keep trying.

I will keep playing ranked and trying different cards. Sometimes I enjoy using a deck I haven’t used much before. This time it worked well and hopefully I can earn more victories.
