Hello people of the Splinterlands community! I hope you are all having a fantastic week. I am also doing good, it's been a hectic week. My journey in Splinterlands has been full of tough decisions and continuous learning. I enjoy Every match, I have never liked a game this much. I have always learned something new from each battle. Every match brings new rulesets and challenges, which keeps the battlefield super thrilling! Today, I’m excited to share a intense Frontier Ranked match that pushed my strategy to the limit, and in the end I will share the rewards I have gotten through the latest progress!
Mana 47
Ruleset: Standards
Elements: (death, water) locked
I have not used fire element before but I wanted to try it because I thought I could build a good lineup with it. As matches are unpredictable and I don't know what my opponent will bring up so it's a tough decision as how I should position my cards. I am not used to playing with locked elements. So, I was a bit nervous and I am not so professional with other elements so I was really confused which element should I pick? Then I thought I should use fire element. I thought I have played so many matches against my opponent and noticed them using a good lineup of fire element so I decided to take the risk.
The mana was low yet enough and 8 had to choose my cards wisely. I didn't want to lose so I have choose strong cards which can help me win the match. I was still indecisive and yet I made a decision very fast because when I think so much I run out of time. I'm glad this game gives you enough time to think what cards you should be using and in this way you can build a strategy.
Barthalamas (Level 1,all friendly units have +1 Speed)
I had high hopes for this summoner because I have seen my opponents winning against me with it. I think it's one of the greatest element only if you are a professional player.
My enemy, BRIARP (from the Phoenix Hatchlings guild), had brought a very similar Fire lineup with the exact same summoner. I was really stunned because now my confidence had shattered. Anything can happen now and my enemy had high ratings which is 1000+ and I was feeling nervous about how the match is going to end.
The battle was a tough, raw test of card placement and speed bonuses. The fight lasted 6 full rounds. Right from Round 1, both teams traded heavy blows and eliminating frontlines one by one. Because both of our summoners gave +1 Speed, hit accuracy and attack timing played a huge role. By Round 4 and 5, my backline damage dealers managed to output just enough consistent damage to break down their key units.
By Round 6 I had Bear Druid and Ash Archer, both of them marvelously defeated the enemy teams card. I secured the final blow and was able to take the victory.
Battle Result: +20 Rating Points (reaching 780 Rating). I'm in Bronze I, however I have won matches repeatedly before this match yet it felt like my ratings were not increasing, maybe it's a bug. Other time when I win match continuously it would show 40+ ratings but now it didn't. I hope the bug gets fixed sooner or later.
I had rewards to claim and I couldn't wait to open my reward chests. Before opening them, I made sure to consume an Alchemy Potion to double my chances of landing Gold Foil cards.
Here is what I have got from my latest reward claim:
Kanaaq Miner (Common Goblin) and Nim Guard Captain (Epic Rodentian - 7 Mana unit with high armor/health!)
Getting an Epic card like the Nim Guard Captain felt good. I am saving up those cards as someone told me previously that I can use duplicate cards to level up.
Hitting Bronze I with a 780 rating is a huge achievement for me, and I'm really proud of how much my decision making has improved. My next big goal is to refine my strategies for locked-element rulesets and push toward Silver III before this season ends. I still have 7 days in my hand so let's pray I get to reach it as soon as possible.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my battle report! How are your seasonal pushes going? If you have any tips on using the fire compositions, kindly let me know in the comments below.
