BDTI – Smart Device and Data Sciences works closely with BD business units on developing and launching technologies and products that harness the power of data. These technologies address unmet needs for chronic disease management, in areas such as diabetes care. In addition, we are working to develop optimally performing technologies that guide medication use and delivery in hospitals.
Our sensor-enabled BD devices generate treatment data that, combined with diagnostic and other data sources, describe the patient's therapeutic, clinical and lifestyle profile. These devices use machine learning techniques to process the data and derive algorithms that guide patients and clinicians to improve their decisions—and ultimately, enhance outcomes.
