The problem is that a lot of the failed predictions actually were not called by scientists but by newspapers and other people falsely interpreting the papers of the scientists (Quite often even only reading

I was more talking about "before EIP" where this was a common practice. Right now we don't have that problem because of the curve, since its not lucrative. And if the votes are big enough you

I'm kinda half/half on the reward curve. On one hand the curve is exactly what makes self-votes spread over tons of comments and posts makes not lucrative anymore. On the other hand it makes it more difficult

I'd like to know more about the payment for the reviewers.

But the advertisement money is what they use to pay the salaries of the devs =D If they don't have that, then they have to powerdown and sell steem instead

And then people will hate on them for cashing out in Steem again =D

This has probably nothing to do with bitcoin being down approx the same % =D

So, the higher the value of steem, the value of sbd goes into the direction of 1$ again and more should get printed too (due to the higher value of the pool), no?

But it receives a percentage of the reward pool, and the value of the reward pool is in steem afaik.

Disagreeing on the rewards of a post is a valid reason for downvoting. We have to stop considering downvotes something negative, especially in high value posts. They are there to balance the rewards to

In the past the conservatives were all over the world concerned about the environment. This changes more recently when conservatives became neo-liberalists.

I agree, at least make part of the requirement to burn a certain quantity of STEEM for it.

I expect a lot of fight and confusion on the discord about it, unrelated to how it may look like. =D

How sad, treating a dog like this. The dog is fine as long as he is healthy and taking care of you, the moment he gets older, people get ignorant...

1: This took longer than I wanted it to, because I have to find the papers about increase in temperature, increase in carbon and the correlation then (That's why I wanted to restrict it) Increase in

If you read carefully my questions from 1 - 6, you should note that I never asked for papers on Co2 and the Sun being the drivers of climate change. I thought you informed yourself a bit about this issue

Sorry miss " PhD scientist", I of course wanted to say "man made climate change denier" and not just climate change denier. So yes, I read your comment. I find it really sweet and amusing

Oh, my response was to the author above and not to you to be honest. I believe there is no consensus to a solution yet because it is two fold: We restrict our current style of living and consuming We wait

But yeah, I think when you do communities well, you can still on one hand have your save retreat into your community, but can on the same time see the bigger picture on the steemit main page or whatever.

Is it an unsolvable problem reducing emissions? Reducing garbage culture? I don't think so. Switching to renewable energies is something which on the mid term already brings positive financial returns.
