"I was blind but now I see" famous words from the movie Limitless. This movie presents Bradley Cooper as a fail writer who becomes all he ever wanted after taking a drug called NZT. This is the world that the Netflix documentary, take your pills, explores. Nowadays everything is a constant competition, school, careers and even relationships. We are in a competition with our peers and most of us with ourselves. Given the opportunity to become our best selves at a moment notice with the help of a little pill, would you take it?

Honestly, I a least would like to try it. I'm not saying all drugs are good or beneficiary for people. But it's is my belief that we should be able to pick and choose for ourselves what we want to put in our bodies. Something that is not a reality nowadays. The Netflix documentary talks about some drugs which are capable of raising cognitive intelligence. Pills that quickly make you more energetic and improve your execution of certain tasks. These are somethings that most of us could use more of in our daily routines. There are side effects but apart from being warm about them, I see no reason for these pills not to be open for the public to embrace.

I not promoting the use of drugs, but I do believe the government controls too much of what we are allowed to use, do and consume. And we are restrained to comply with these unfair and unjust laws because of the punishment "the laws imposed".

The truth is that most us already do it on daily bases. Don't you drink coffee or maybe like me a Redbull every morning. This not to mention the tons of mood stabilizer people take to deal with the pressures of life or cigarettes. Which is the difference between a control substance and cigarettes or alcohol, but the laws that stop us from having access to them?

This is what I would add as the first amendment to a global constitution:

People should be free to do as they choose whenever they desire as long as this act does not interfere with the free life of others which have not consented to be used.

Leave your opinion in the comments, I would love to learn what is the popular opinion about drugs?
