Collecting about a handful of calendula flowers every day right now! The plants are ...
... growing super fast and fresh heads are ready for our drying rack consistently. As shown in previous appics posts, after drying, we then infuse the dried flowers into a MCT carrier oil. We then use the infused calendula oil for making face moisturizer and body balm/lotion. I’ll show the oil in an upcoming post. Calendula is a super easy plant to grow! The more you harvest her tops...the more she grows! Many insects are drawn to her also, which helps the surrounding fruit trees and other plants. This clump of calendula plants you can see in the background is growing right next to a peach tree. Stacking functions like this is part of food forestry and works so well! We testify! Have fun growing your own #dfood and #flowers :) Thanks for tuning in. Have a beautiful day in your part of the world!! -Jake and the Raw Utah family%20Thanks%20for%20tuning%20in.%20Have%20a%20beautiful%20day%20in%20your%20part%20of%20the%20world!!%20-Jake%20and%20the%20Raw%20Utah%20family&category=lifestyle&hashtags=gardening+nature+permaculture&author=rawutah&profileImageUrl=https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/backend-alpha-kw-8/profileImages/495-640&permlink=alpha-kw-8-appics-im-22679)
