... .playing in the food forest, finding bugs and flowers to play with and smell. Behind him, over the block wall are almond trees..bursting with almonds. Surrounding his feet are sunchokes, stawberries, calendula and pineapple guava. Growing up in a food forest, he’s learning to help us tend to the soil and trees and that fruit, herbs and other food comes from our effort or someone else’s to produce food to eat and use. We grew this food forest with that intention. To feed us and teach us. To decentralize! :) Living in wonder...as our little boy does!
