Stopped to smell the roses and feed them! Smells like FREEDOM!
I wanted to share this #dtubesnap ... moment with all of you!! I have always LOVED roses and flowers....and even studied floriculture design on top of my love for actually growing them lol! One hack... I've learned in growing roses..and fruit trees... over the years...is that they LOVE wood chips!!!! Somehow....the pH....in the soil...just balances out over time...if you apply wood chips topically.
Much like the 105 fruit trees on our 1/4 acre urban lot....we top the rose bushes annually....and then apply wood chips. Wood chips are like the epidermis....layer of the soil. Just like our own...epidermis of our skin layer...protects us....so do the wood chips protect the living fungi and bacteria that grow in this soil magic. :)
It's so easy to apply these wood chips around roses like these bushes in my front yard...ONCE...or even TWICE per year. Spring and Fall. They just dump loads of flowers! Nothing quite like dozens and dozens of free roses! D-ROSES lol! I truly value how easy it is to grow them....vs. forking over....hard earned money for insanely priced roses that hardly smell....from the centralized grow houses. SO many of us...can do this in our yards...and I love seeing how many out there already are!!!
