Walking around a lake, beneath tall trees, I heard some birds calling out to each other in a playful manner.
I looked up to find them, hoping to get some nice pictures, but instead saw a large spider looming over me.
My daughter Kiko screamed and quickly ran away. I was mesmerized by what looked like a spider floating in the sky.
I zoomed in to get a better look and found a large banana spider had a complex web spun so it hung in mid air about 10 feet off the ground.
I noticed immediately it was missing one of its long back legs.
The colors of the banana spider are wonderfully constrcuted with the orange/yellows and black/browns. If you are already prone to be scared of spiders, these will certainly do the trick.
Next time you are walking a path with trees along both sides of you, take a look up and see if you can spot a Spider in the Sky.
