These things shooting out are apparently called Stipules. They are the first part of the plants flower that forms. I'm still in veg so this would be a pre-flower I believe. I'm trying to decide if I will top the branches shooting out from this top or not.
The stalk is growing unbelievably fast. It's probably double the size of the clones stalks and it was smaller than them when I got them.
