In the #writing world, we have a saying when we kill off characters or have to edit a piece until it bleeds.
When we do those things we are
Killing our darlings
Well, my friends, I have effectively slaughtered them. Although in this case, I'm referring to my website, brand, and content. Over the weekend I completely annihilated the structure I have built over the last 5-10 years. It was unbelievably liberating.
I have grown so much over this time period, what I had out in the world in regards to me and my epic skills, just wasn't cutting it anymore. So here I am rebuilding... rebranding... renaming and generally rehabbing my brands.
It's making me analyze every piece of what I have created to make a decision as to whether or not it stays in my world gets tossed out. It's kind of like a crazy #entrepreneur version of #springcleaning.
I've spent not being comfortable with mine and I'm not ashamed to say it out loud. Not being in love with the brand you are working so hard to build... blows, to put it mildly.
But enough of that for now. I am sooooo excited to be rebuilding and breathing new life into my work.
