✔️The Siberian chipmunk or common chipmunk (Eutamias sibiricus)
At the end of April, on the 20th, I went into the forest to see if the chipmunks were awake. Usually they have already awakened by this time. Their hibernation lasts a very long time, starting from about mid-October and ending in mid-late April. All this time they sleep in their hole, and only occasionally wake up to eat and "go to the toilet". To do this, they have separate rooms in their burrows, one for the toilet, and several for supplies.
I met this fluffy friend sitting low on a branch. It was evident that he had woken up quite recently, so he was weak, and sat eating and gaining strength.
I put some nuts and seeds near the tree so that he would find them later when I left.
