Well, if so, then I prepared a selection of wagtails.
The citrine wagtail (Motacilla citreola
I meet this yellow-headed wagtail every year in the steppe zone, in flooded meadows. They spend all their time on bushes that grow right in the water, and getting close to them because of this is quite problematic.
The white wagtail (Motacilla alba)
Well, this is already a familiar city dweller. They arrive as soon as the sidewalks begin to melt from the snow.
Once I met such a bird with a mutation.
The western yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava)
These wagtails live on the outskirts of the city in the meadows. They are easy to see in spring as they are very bright.
The grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea)
And this species is very rare. I've only met them three times. Specifically, I met this one in the forest on construction debris.
The tree pipit (Anthus trivialis)
At first glance, this bird does not look much like a typical wagtail due to its variegated plumage. However, it genetically belongs to the wagtail family. But he lives exclusively in the forests. And yes, they also wag their tails.
The olive-backed pipit (Anthus hodgsoni)
Another rare species that I met only twice. This bird walked the earth in search of insects.
