🦉 The European pied flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca)

These insectivorous birds live mainly in mixed and deciduous forests, but they can also be found in city parks, gardens, and even in courtyards. They nest in old hollows and various natural crevices in trees.

They feed primarily on flying insects, observing them from a perch and catching them in mid-air. They can also collect insects from branches, leaves, and other surfaces. Surprisingly, they don't disdain stink bugs, which other birds won't eat.
