馃 The willow tit (Poecile montanus)
- Poecile poikilis (Greek) an unidentified small bird mentioned in ancient texts
- montanus (lat .) : m艒ns, montis mountain, mountain range, montanus mountain
These grey tits are quite numerous in the forests and can be seen at any time of year; I even manage to spot them in summer without any problem. But spring is certainly more interesting to watch, as it's mating season. The male actively sings a beautiful, melancholy song.
Besides forests, they can easily be found in city parks, where they are easily tamed and politely beg for food from passersby.
