🦉 The tree pipit (Anthus trivialis)
📚 Anthus (ancient Greek mythology) Antus, son of Hippodamia, turned into a bird
📚 Trivialis (lat.) common, simple, banal
This bird belongs to the wagtail (Motacillidae) family, however, from his relatives of another species, which gravitate towards water bodies, this bird lives in forests.
The arrival of these birds can be expected soon ... although judging by the weather this year, it will be delayed for a long time.
When these birds arrive, the males actively sing, defiantly flying up and hovering. When the bird is hungry, she walks the ground in search of food, and due to her plumage it is very difficult to notice. Only the imperceptible rustling of dry leaves and tail shaking betrays the presence of this bird.
