is an annual cultural event happening every 3rd Sunday of the year here in Cebu, Philippines. The Sinulog Festival is celebrated in honor of Sto. Niño "Holy Child". The following activities are just some of the highlights of the festival:
STREET DANCING
Contingents coming from the different parts of the Philippine archipelago come to perform their street dance routine in the streets of Cebu City the "Carousel Route".
GRAND SHOWDOWN
Each contingent prepares a routine for the showdown that will be presented in the grandstand located at Cebu City Sports Complex. Tickets are sold ranging from Php 1,000.00 to Php 3,000.00.
PUPPETS/GIANTS
Along with the street dance performances are the puppeteers and giants "higante".
FLOATS
Establishments participate in the festival as well through floats decorated artistically showing their brands.
