Once you get introduced to Hive and write that first introduction post, you can start earning Hive Power and HBD immediately. It seems like things can't get any better than that. I mean, a social media system that pays you instead the profit being on the other side? Who would've thought right? That's peak excellence. And then suddenly you realize it gets even better. Right at that moment you discover the mysterious second layer, the Hive Engine. The virtual place where all the tribes draw energy from and operate on. And an opportunity on top of an opportunity, being Hive, where you can earn even more. IF used correctly of course. Below I have my earnings over the past week and month, and I was quite surprised how significant it was.
Hive-Engine tokens are hidden gems in our Hive eco-system. And the sooner you learn about them and how to acquire them, the better. The first type of token is the tribe token. Tokens like LEO, CTP, JAHM, LOTUS are all such tokens connected to one of the many tribes on Hive. You can usually power them up just like HIVE into HP and earn by curation. You can also post in that tribe or community, or through their dedicated frontend to earn the token when your post gets curated. Using a certain tag for that tribe appropriately also may enable you to earn curation rewards.
Another great type of token which I have a variety of are passive income tokens. These tokens generate dividends that get sent to you. There are different types of systems to achieve this, like miner tokens such as CTPM, LEOM, ARCHONM, or maybe index tokens like INDEX, DHEDGE, BRO or COM to name a few. Invest in these early as they tend to get overly inflated overtime.
Last important type of Hive Engine utility that I should mention are the Hive games like RisingStar, Splinterlands or dCity who have their own respective ecosystems allowing you to semi-passively earn a bit more on the side.
Zoomed in on one individual income stream it may not seem like much, but the more you keep at it, the more they all stack up, and before you even know it, you might get surprised by your weekly Hive Engine earnings on top of what you get out of creating quality content and engaging on the main Hive blockchain.
