The best way to avoid financial disappointment or wreckage is to save, but many people don't see the need to save; rather, they prefer running to family and friends for financial assistance, and if they are unable to help, they become enemies. Managing your finances is an individual responsibility, not a collective one, but some believe their families and friends should be there for them when help is needed, not minding what such a person is going through also. Proper saving and management of your finances can save you lots of stress and embarrassment.
Last week Wednesday, my phone, the Infinix x9, got spoiled, and that shook up my heart a bit because it would delay my work and I would miss so many calls from my customers. Immediately, I rushed down to the engineering shop to get it fixed, and thanks to my emergency fund, it came through for me, but after that day, I lost interest in the phone because I've repaired it three times this year. I looked around for family or friends that could support me in getting a new mobile phone, but surprisingly, there aren't any because they need money too. Then I looked into my savings, which are my reward for being a writer on the hive, my hive-backed dollar (HBD), and I see that I have enough to get me a mobile of my choice.

I've been wanting to go back to my choice of the phone when my previous one got spoiled before I got the Infinix. I have always loved Samsung products because they do serve me well, and I'm glad I was able to get the Samsung Galaxy S9 as my new mobile phone through my savings. I was able to achieve this with no stress because I have learned and understand the importance of saving—not just saving but proper saving. Mind you, saving is different from investing; don't get it twisted. I hear a lot of people say they have investments, and when financial needs arise, they close them down to solve their pressing financial needs.

Proper management of finances will save one from incurring unnecessary debts. Because of those you borrowed from, you will surely have to refund them back, and if you are unable to do so, that becomes a debt. While saving up my hbd, I do feel tempted to spend on things I don't need, but I remember that I need to save for the rainy day (a day I will need money urgently and there will be no one to help me except my savings), which makes me ask myself, am I frugal or stingy? To me, it's being frugal, while to some, it might be being stingy, but I guess to save myself from unwanted embarrassment and financial stagnation, I need to know how to save and manage my finances well.

Now with a new mobile phone, I will be able to handle my business with no fear of the phone hanging or sudden power off, and without all the stress I went through on my previous mobile phone. Thanks to Hive for giving me a platform to save my HBD for future rescue from financial stress.
Thanks for your time and your comments will be appreciated.
