The Nevado Veronica, also known as Wakaywillque, is a mountain in southeastern Peru located in the department of Cusco. With its 5,682 m of altitude, it is one of the main elevations of the Urubamba mountain range, a mountainous chain that forms part of the whole of the Eastern Cordillera of the Peruvian Andes. La Montaña has an approximate length of 10 km. Approximate east-west direction and width of 2 km. Here mountain glaciers have been developed whose minimum height of snows is in average the 4600 msnm. This snow is characterized by having a very rough topography with strong slopes to very strong that pass from the 40 degrees, which makes it prone to develop avalanches.
