SAME IDENTITY BUT DIFFERENT RESPONSIBILITY
The understanding of our IDENTITY becomes EASY when we come to the SAVING KNOWLEDGE of CHRIST.
So SALVATION gives us a PICTURE of our IDENTITY while VISION unfolds our DIVINE RESPONSIBILITY to our GENERATION.
1 Peter 2:9 says "We are a CHOSEN generation, a ROYAL priesthood, HOLY nation, and a PECULIAR people.... ".
All those STRENGTH listed above from "CHOSEN generation, to.... PECULIAR people" CONNOTES our IDENTITY in CHRIST.
However the NEXT part of the VERSE SAYS "...To SHOW forth the LIGHT/PRAISES of HIM who has CALLED us... ".
That's now our DIVINE RESPONSIBILITIES which varies from believers to believers. We all have EQUAL STATUS in REDEMPTION, but we have differing RESPONSIBILITIES In terms of Kingdom ASSIGNMENTS.
The GOD that is behind DIVERSITIES is also the AUTHOR of UNIQUENESS. Your RESPONSIBILITY in the KINGDOM is tied to your PECULIARITY. Your KINGDOM RESPONSIBILITY is UNVEILED out of your DIVINE IDENTITY. The UNDERSTANDING of what you can do, first lies first in the custody of KNOWLEDGE. The KNOWLEDGE of who you are in CHRIST and the KNOWLEDGE of what you POSSESS.
Though we have EQUAL STATUS in REDEMPTION but we have DIFFERING RESPONSIBILITIES in terms of Kingdom ASSIGNMENTS. So we are to SHOW FORTH the LIGHT in our own sphere. You have a DIVINE MANDATE to shine FORTH that LIGHT you are CARRYING in your own SPHERE of INFLUENCE. Remember the whole World lies in DARKNESS.
From the Scripture above and the STANDPOINT of SALVATION: Every VISIONARY has the DESTINY of NATIONS and POTENTIALS of GENERATIONS hanging in his LOINS by DIVINE PROGRAMMING. So you can't just AFFORD to fail those HELPLESSLY waiting in the DARK side of LIFE.
Our IDENTITY as believers is HIDDEN inside CHRIST. Every Mortal Man on Earth will suffer IDENTITY CRISIS until he DISCOVERS his IDENTITY in CHRIST.
Beloved, you have a DIVINE RESPONSIBILITY to shine your own LIGHT as a BELIEVER wherever you are.
Remember what Matt. 5:13-14 says "Our Light must never be HIDDEN".
From this Very Week and mont, That LIGHT you are CARRYING will start SHINING BRIGHTER and GLORIOUSLY through YOU
