These names I mentioned were my dad's favourite and he made me got addicted to reggae... Just like you said

I began to pay attention to music because he did.every lyric meant something, so I stop listening and dancing to the tune for listening sake, I tried to understand the songwriter. I wondered what each line meant to him. What kind of circumstances warranted such lyrics.

Very true, i noticed that most times the reggae songs tells a lot of story and potrays a lot, I got a book they do sell then where you will find songs and their respective lyrics and I was learning the ones he always sings so I can sing along with him..

It was really lovely and it's still lovely, my mum loves worship songs, and that's what she always sinv..
I don't always pay much attention to it then because I could even sing the song in my dreams, the lyrics are so easy and always repetitive..

Now I found my own genre of music but it didn't stop me from listening and enjoying others..
