Digital parenting has become a new responsibility where parents have to take care of not only the physical safety of their children but also their digital safety and this task is equally difficult. As important as it is, children now start using smartphones and tablets at a very young age and their thoughts, habits and behaviour are affected by exploring the online world. In earlier times, if children made a mistake, their parents would explain it to them, but now in the digital world, one mistake can affect their entire life.

Social media apps like Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat or gaming apps, children not only spend time on these but also meet new people, accept new ideas and sometimes even go in the wrong direction. Digital parenting does not mean just controlling but developing understanding. Wherever children are given freedom, their parents are trying to understand their digital lives, otherwise, just put restrictions. Trust and communication are the biggest pillars and if children are not able to talk openly with their parents, then they try to solve someone's problem by hiding it, which gives bigger problems.

Parents themselves also have to be digitally aware because unless they themselves are educated, they will not be able to guide their children properly about the dangers and advantages of the digital world. Cyber pulling and sex stings have been identified in the digital world. There are many such situations in which it is possible to save children only when parents work together with them to set a healthy digital lifestyle. Children adopt everything quickly and sometimes they do something without understanding its meaning. Whether it is memes or viral trends which clean their personality, it is very important to understand them and give them guidance.

It is important to limit screen time, but it is even more important that the screen time is of good quality. Children should not just waste their time but also learn and understand something productive. Children of today are emotionally attached to screens. If their phone is taken away, they feel a sense of distress or depression. Therefore, emotional understanding comes first in digital currency. Instead of peeping into their children's digital devices, parents should talk to them openly about their digital habits, in which mutual respect will develop and children will think for themselves. They will start thinking. What impact can their activities have on them? Parent control apps are important for them, but they are just a tool. Real control comes with conversation and bonding where children understand that all this is happening for their good.

The approach to digital balancing should be different for every child of any age group. At younger age, more guidance is needed whereas when they grow up, more trust and space have to be given. Digital parenting does not mean that you always keep an eye on them, but it is how you protect their personal information. This has become a basic skill. Sometimes parents discuss the digital choices of their children. Investing in a game or following a particular influencer, but it is important to understand that one should not react without understanding the reason behind the interest. There is a space full of fun in the digital world where children meet new ideas and people. If parents sit with them in the space, they will learn to enjoy the fun responsibly.

The most important part of childhood is values and discipline and if these two things are developed in the digital world through parents, then in the future those children themselves can become responsible citizens and digital painting is a continuous process. Where with trading and every new issue, you have to update your perspective as well because painting means walking together and holding hands at every turn.

When we talk about digital painting, we also have to understand that every child is different and that their learning speed, their curiosity and their emotional needs are all independent of each other. Therefore, we cannot make one rule for children and in the digital world, every moment brings new contacts and distractions. Therefore, painting should not be static but dynamic. It is difficult to say when today's children will get inspired by someone's content that they get away from their identity in the pursuit of being students and that is why digital printing courses should be coded so that we can make our children so emotionally strong that they can understand the duty of right and wrong and not stay away from something just because of restrictions.

Another thing that often gets overlooked is that children learn not just from the content on the screen but also from the digital behaviour of their parents. If parents themselves remain busy with their phones the entire day or are active on social media all the time, then children copy the same. Self-discipline is also a big part of digital painting. Many times parents lose their connection with children just by trying to control them. When children need to be a part of their world, spend some time playing their favourite games with them or try to understand their favourite YouTube channel. Only then will children openly tell us about their digital lives.

Another important expectation of digital parenting is detox where the entire family is kept away from technology at times. You must strengthen your relationship with your children. A natural work is to sleep with the family and play games. Just spend time with each other. All these things teach children that there is happiness and connection in life even without screens. Creating a safe digital environment for children in early childhood means not just monitoring their activities but also empowering them, like making them understand their right to digital privacy and telling them how to protect their children from phishing scans or understanding the impact of fake news. All these things should be such that it forces them to sleep.
