Earth bee or Andrena. It is a large genus of bees, numbering more than 1,500 species. The sizes are small, 8-17 mm. They can lead a solitary life as well as live in colonies. When the offspring grow up, they do not move far from the parental home. They nest in sandy soil. The nest is a deep tunnel in the ground, from which dead ends branch off - chambers in which honey and nutrients are stored. The eggs are attached above the chamber with food so that the larvae immediately after reaching the food and begin to feed.
Zimowit in the garden near the church of St. Barbara beautifully lit by today's sun. These flowers are confused with crocuses. Legend has it that they were made from the poured drops of the magic drink of the mythical Medea in the foothills of the Caucasus. Apparently on ul. Long Gardens by Barbara's Church also dropped something from Medea.
