How long have I been chasing a red dragonfly, probably since the end of June, when I saw it in the park, but it was not possible to photograph it there, after which I saw it several times in my yard and attempts to photograph it were also unsuccessful. And finally, after 2 months of hopeless attempts to get to the red dragonfly, a successful close-up shot was obtained. Somehow red dragonflies are more timid than the rest. I did not even expect that someday it will come out to take a picture) In the photo, the dragonfly is most likely blood-red.
Belongs to the genus Compressed Belly family of dragonflies. Body length up to 4 cm, wingspan up to 6 cm. Her flight is observed from the beginning of July to September. For reproduction choose standing, densely overgrown, boggy reservoirs, not characters for flowing reservoirs. Maybe that's why I was able to take a picture of her near the reservoir. They are also widely scattered from reservoirs, even found a few kilometres from them. Development from egg to adult takes about a year!
A little pacification in the tape. I don't know about you, but I like to sit on the shore, watch the flow of water, think, in these moments the flow of thoughts coincides with the flow of water and you come up with some interesting thoughts that may be just in everyday hustle and bustle would be lost.
Photo, by the way, completely without processing) here is such an amazing color of water in the Sumy reservoir, which is also called the "Sumy Sea".
