Although Perry found time to play EA Sports' Madden NFL games on his Xbox, he was never a big fan of wrestling games. He didn't have the interest in playing them due to all of the various controls and buttons that went into executing all the maneuvers for the wrestlers. He was able to commit to playing Madden because he is a big NFL fan and probably played as the New England Patriots even though he was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and lives in the Minnesota area (but he's billed as being from Boston, Massachusetts) . He never picked up any of the games he was featured in, during what most wrestling gaming fans would call the golden age of console (if not all wrestling games of all time) wrestling games and select himself as a wrestler to play as himself in WCW/nWo Revenge, WCW Mayhem, WWF No Mercy, WWF Raw, WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role, or WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It. But he did say he loved getting the royalty checks from the game.

This may have made it easy for him to understand how a trading card game (albeit a crypto game and not a tradition console or physical card game) could be lucrative and continue to build up over time because of how web 3 is designed.

My favorite console video game version of Perry is from WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It. It was the first wrestling video game with full wrestler entrances and good quality full entrance music. Perry actually has Moppy with him in his entrance and Moppy can be used in matches.
