In my previous post, I have shared the story about what happened on 09.07.2022 date. As I shared people were able to take down President's House, President's Secretarial Office, and PM's Official House. But the important point was, They didn't want to harm any of those properties because they knew, all those properties built with the taxes from all people in Sri Lanka. Anyway while going through FB, I was able to see some great set of photos which taken after the people entered to the president's house.
Some of them may see that kind of facilities for the first time in their life.. So they enjoyed the view.. But didn't destroy them. That's what the real peaceful protest is. Look at these photos. Do they seems like they want to destroy these properties? No... I don't think so. They just want to have a better life as they had before these Rajapaksha family destroyed it.
For now, Gotabaya Rajapaksha has announced he will resigned from the president role on 13th July. SO still most of People are staying in those properties until that mad man stepping down. So those 3 locations are still open for the people and a lots of Srilankas are coming to see these places because this could be a one time ticket to see how the president and PM houses are.
Still I am not sure the mad man will resign or not... But if he doesn't resign, that may be a begining of a civil war between the people and the government. According to them rumors, the mad man is already left the country and he will return on 13th July. So let' see what will happen.
What I wanted to say is, These properties are not belongs to the president or the PM... These are properties of Sri Lankas. So you should visit them and don't destroy any of them.
