There were quite a few gravel ants used in the tourney actually, but I intentionally omitted them when writing the article.
Wanted to be encouraging and focus on the few things that made an impression rather than people spamming gravel ant. Definitely lots of room for improvement in terms of plays made as well as on the organisers side, but it is still early days for the MENA region I guess.
And yeah, last stands do make a huge difference. Many games are won because of last stands.
