Online gaming is very popular nowadays. Especially with the invention of cell phones it has increased immensely. In germany alone more than 46 % are playing online. And you might think it is mainly the younger generation ? You will be surprised that more than 7 million players who are older than 50 are playing daily. The Allensbacher Computer and Technic Analysis assumes over 30 million players overall only on pc or tablet. They generate a yearly turnover of 624 million €. And this is not the end of the development. It is expected that the average yearly increase will be more than 20 %.
The biggest number of online players is not surprisingly in Asia. Here is a statistic from 2013.
I can see it daily here in thailand. Nearly everyone has at least one cell phone. And very often you can see them playing online. What is very interesting is that they all have the same in common. An they all have the same questions before entering a game.
