My name is Ipsita, 24 years old from India. I was born in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh a northern state of India. Mathura is considered the birthplace of Lord Krishna and its one of the seven sacred cities for followers of Hinduism. I stayed here for just a span of 9 years.
Afterwards my family shifted to West Bengal, an eastern state of India and also known as the sweetest part of India. Well I am originally a Bengali so was first time living in my own state after my birth. I have done my schooling here in St. Xavierâs School, a catholic school. And completed my graduation in Fashion Technology major in apparel production from NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology).
So in these four years of my bachelor degree we had many internships so we travelled a lot to many cities to visit factories, looms, handicrafts division and much more. After completing we all entered the corporate life. But few months back I left my job in search of "My Life and My Truth"
Well a person doesnât know what will hit his/her mind at which point of life. So recently there is huge downfall in Indian traditional market of old arts and handicrafts. Weavers have gone jobless , handicraft employees are paid much much less than they deserve. All these points were getting jotted down my mind for years. So I finally quitted to plan something for this dying market. But obviously its not that easy. Meanwhile I was introduced to steemit and here I am. Well I donât know much about it but I read that one should introduce itself properly. So here @raka will be sharing many post relating to food, travel, stories, quotes, cultures and of course Indian handlooms and handicraft stories. And welcome to anyone who can help me with how steemit works.!!!!
