I don't use dreemport @snook, i stopped about a month ago for various reasons.

My assessment of the fiction writers of hive is entirely subjective, based upon the fact I've read the best i could find in both The Ink Well and Scholars and Scribes. You might think I'm arrogant saying that, but it remains my estimation. I've been writing short stories for over 20 years now, and i trust my instincts and have confidence in my work.

As to suggestions - i have suggestions in my comments. A clear set of rules that allow for more adult (by which i don't mean raunchy look) fiction, all horror (e.g. Steven King or Clive Barker) is adult fiction. All that dreemport are allowing for with a pg13 standard is YA fiction or children's stories, it's very restrictive. There's no getting beyond that. Not everyone writes, or wants to read Harry Potter-esque stories. I understand maybe why the pg13 thing with some of the articles i see sometimes on hive, I once read an insane lunatic who'd written a whole story /article on why it was essential to beat his wife. But these lunatics are in the minority and can be muted. I had to mute over 10 people in The Ink Well when i first started it because they were writing horrible (and technically very badly written) short stories with graphic descriptions of sexual abuse.

I get there is a problem, but as i said there is a solution without imposing these carpet bans on anything other than pg13 content.

By the way, i wasn't angry last night, i was simply raising a point.
