That is really interesting. I have tried some deeper (technical) diving and found it to be a very uncomfortable experience. Once you go below 40 meters it is not pleasent at all, this is why I stick with recreational diving these days, 30-35 meters max usually. I can only imagine what you had to do diving for the navy but I assume it included deeper dives while working under strict time constraints.
I'm glad to hear you've found joy in recreational diving and guiding your daughter. I've dived with a few families of divers and it always made me smile watching the young ones flitting about in excitment and the parents carefully watching over them ;-)
