Sand in the hourglass
melting over
memories of molten
moments, bitten
by rare rain fall.
Striations flow,
light enthralls,
singing cerebral parables,
forging patterns
in the echoing gorge.
Dripping pastel veins,
desiccated remains,
an eon of cells -
death knells
in wind-blown grains.
