Hello Juecoree, very good topic and it is also a controversial one, as the time and need to be connected has intensified due to the pandemic, which has somehow justified "being connected".
However, this is not the only reason, the use and active presence in social networks, have become a requirement in personal communications and work activities, so it is often unfortunately exaggerated, and excesses have negative consequences as the one you quote in your post "the paradox of being superconnected but distracted", ie disconnected from our closest or personal environment.
Balancing time and the importance of being connected is vital for our integral and family wellbeing.
Cheers, happy life!
