Resteem is a form of respect besides giving voice and comments. All posts that have been tried by Steemian have added value. This is the most effective way to promote posts.
How do you feel that you're still a beginner and then rewritten by Whales? It must be very happy and in an instant your reputation can crawl up. In addition, the Steemit function is respecting each other's users.
You might be able to modify other steemian posts, but on another day it was Steemian's turn to do the same. Award in the form of Resteem which I feel is quite central as one of the emotional bonds in it.
To restore or reblog someone's post means to share it with others. I would say it is profitable because when you share someone's posts, other people can see posts and they might be interested in the post and might give upvote. When a post is redeemed, that means the possibility of posting being seen increases and it also increases the level of profitability. So yes, it's profitable.
