Having a retrospective about yourself can be really hard. We often want to avoid this, avoid to face yourself in the mirror, but I did think we all have to do it. We all need moments alone, to ask yourself questions, to seek answers about our life, about our destiny. I just turned 28 on last December 1st. It’s been such an incredible 10255 days so far. I had all kind of experiences.

Today I decided to create this article to write to my 20 years old self and to remember this.

Be kind, be proud, be who you truly are. Always remember where you’re coming from, what you have done to be the person you are today. Cherish the mistakes, the failure, the moment where you only wanted to cry because it was too difficult. Those are the times that made you who you are. Sometime you will want to give up, to stop and just leave everything there. Some other time you will feel like the king of the world, you will feel unstoppable. All of these roller coasters of feelings are what make life enjoyable. Without the failure, success wouldn’t be so rewarding.

Don’t leave a thank you, a kiss, a smile, an “I love you” in your heart, because you never know when your story will end. Take more time with your close friends, with your mom, your dad, your sister and your brother, they are the essence of who you are, they are your family.

Cherish the unconditional love of your life partner, be the best you can be. She deserves to experience life with someone who is true to himself, who will support her and be there no matter what.

I know you feel in a rush often, feel like time is running out, but happiness it’s not just in overachievement, it is also inside a moment, doing a small talk with a true friend, around the fire, during a dinner, just by being there.

Forgive, don’t be resentful, don’t see for vengeance, just let it go and focus on what you can control, yourself. Letting negativity invade yourself will always bring more negativity.
I forgive you, I forgive myself, I love myself, and I love you. Thank you!
