Enjoying an evening of opera snippets at an outdoor park.
One thing great about my wife is that she gets me out to do things that I'd otherwise never do. To wit, we're currently in an outdoor park on Madison, Wisconsin listening to an outdoor opera. Right now it's a selection from "Carmen."
I've been to a small few indoor "real" operas and am blown away by the skill. But my favorite part is the stagecraft and settings. They amaze me with how they set the scene and how they are changed so quickly and dramatically. No stagecoach tonight beyond lights, but that's okay, it's still a nice evening.
