Yeah, it really depends on the platform you use, the content your create, how persistent your are and how much you post and, in the end, how lucky you are.

I gave up because I was making very little money myself, and getting a normal job seemed to be the only way to get out of that situation. It was, partially, although working 9 hours a day for 5 to 6 days a week for $200 - $250 isn't the best deal in the world. Still, working in sales at the time, I had the chance to make more if I sold more crappy things. In the end, giving up on everything and leaving the country was the best things to do, and it proved to be in many ways.
