On my way back to Lagos after I enjoyed myself throughout the weekend, I thought of buying pepper at once so I won't have to start going outside once I get home. I took to the market and I walked to the nook and cranny of the market. That was because pepper was too expensive and I wanted to get a cheap one but I could not get one. Things are extremely expensive in the country but it is really surprising with the way pepper is expensive. The sun was extremely hot but I was still walking up and down in Bodija market trying to make sure that I buy pepper of my budget so I won't exceed the budget. Let's take a look at Bodija market for those who have never been there. I took the picture while trying to negotiate with a woman on the price she wants to sell her pepper but she still did not sell to me because the price I'm willing to buy it is not favorable to her.
I then realized that all those sellers were selling at the same price and none of them even agreed to reduce the price for me. All my efforts to buy the pepper at a cheap price was futile so I just decided to go for it but I was not cool with it and I didn't have a choice. Bodija market is quite big and things are very much cheaper in Ibadan compared to Lagos and that was why I chose to buy the pepper from Ibadan. At the same time, the popular markets where I buy pepper from has been shut down and I don't kniw the reason so I felt the best thing to do was to buy from Bodija market and I'm sure that you will be shocked if I show you the pepper I bought for #3000.
Can you take a look at how small the pepper is? It is extremely small and they sold it at the rate of #3000. Things are extremely expensive but I never thought it could get to this level. I also separated the pepper from the tomatoes and others because I would not be blending them tonight and if I mix them together, it may get spoilt before the morning. This is why we see that pepper sellers always separate pepper from tomatoes and others. I also took some other pictures of the market so you may check them out.
Well, I'm glad that I went to the market so I can see for myself how expensive things are so that I won't be spending money lavishly on things that are not relevant and I should also save money for rainy days, lol. Also, I want everyone to know that things are not only expensive in my country but everywhere so we should just work towards making our community a better and comfortable place for us to live. That's about the pepper I went to buy.
