You know there are times when you don't like a food but you know how to cook it. Well, I was never a good cook till I was nineteen years old. My mum had to force me to learn cooking and I appreciate that. Well, I am from a home where they love morsels. They eat it a lot and we have different kinds of morsels. There is Amala, Semo, Eba, Iyan and so much more. Well, I'm the only one different in my family. I don't like morsels but I was forced to learn how to cook them. Tonight, I'd be teaching you how to make Semo.

The only things you need to use are Semo and water. It does not need sugar or any other thing.

Firstly, you need to boil water.

Secondly, you gotta mix the Semo with water in a separate plate. Mix it well till it gets smooth.

Then you pour the mixture in the boiling water and stir it. Make sure that it is so smooth and it does not have any lump. Just take a look at mine.

You leave it for a while for it to boil well. Then pour the dry Semo in the mixture and continue to mix it. Mix it until you see that there is no lump in it.
You can take a look at it and do it just like I did mine.

If you feel like the Semo is too hard, you can add a little water to make it softer. You can actually control how soft it will be. I think it is advisable to make it hard at first then you can just pour some water to make it soft to your satisfaction. The most important thing about Semo is that it must not have lumps. Any morsel with lumps is zero. And when I served my Semo, you'd realize that the look is giving.

I think the judgement is up to my Semo lovers. Mere looking at this, I'm sure you'd be craving for some if truly you love it. To those who have not had this meal before, it is not cool to eat this alone. You gotta eat it with a very delicious soup and we have different kinds of soups in Africa but tonight, I served my parents three different kinds of soups. I served them Efo Riro, Okro and normal soup...lol. Take a look at it.

As I said earlier, the major thing about Semo or every other kind of morsels is smoothness. You have to make sure that it is very smooth. Make sure that the smoothness starts from the first step of cooking. Once it has a single lump in the first step, it will continue to have lumps no matter how you try to control it. Semo is a very lovely dish in Africa and it is mostly served in parties too since it is a food loved by so many people.

Have a wonderful night rest!
