1.-Why do we need to understand the mind-body problem?
A psychologist in formation requires understanding the mind-body problem due to its great bond with the human conscience, this consciousness (mind) is integrative and at the same time has physical sustenance (the brain), likewise mentioned by Díaz J.L. in "Avive el seso": it has led us to create the historical-social context in which we live. Therefore, it is essential to know the biological foundations and where the transition between the neurophysiological and behavior occurs (which is as interesting as the study objective of psychology) since this relationship or link between what we experience through the external environment (sociocultural component) ) influences too much in the decision making (through the thought product of the mind). In summary, the physical stimuli that reach the brain intervene directly with the mind (the mind analyzes, associates and / or recreates with or without external stimulus) becoming a behavior (object of study of psychology)
2.-What is conscience? According to Muñoz.GC is the phenomenal experience we have of the world (it is the difference between being awake and asleep without dreaming anything), in this way we are giving meanings (opinions, beliefs) to the experiences and through the physical link of the individual and the sociocultural stimuli form an "I", later the conscience becomes more complex by associating and integrating these meanings leading to create a vision of the person and its role in the world. At the same time it gives utility to its association between experiences and their interpretation, modeling the behaviors of the individual (cause of historical-social adaptation in which this consciousness recreates), in such a way that because the interpretation is so subjectively diverse and influenced by external factors, it becomes a guarantee seal towards innovation, creation and development.
