Recently, one of my neighbors requested me to teach drawing to two of her kids. I refused several times as I don't have any clear idea of using oil pastel and watercolor (kid's favourite mediums), the basics of figure drawing, generating themes for our national art programs, and lastly, handling naughty kids. But for her continuous appeal, I can't keep sticking with my denial. So before every class, I've to take preparation for myself with the colors and watch different tutorials on how to draw figures.
While dealing with watercolor, I find another medium where I can finally make myself comfortable. and this is Gouache colour.

Basically, gouache is kind of a medium which is more opaque than conventional watercolors but not that hard like acrylic. With gouache, you can produce vivid and bright colors which will help you to bring out strong, striking artwork.

Gouache is an excellent choice for creating a wide range of colors and effects because it is simple to mix and blend. Also, it is reusable like watercolors which allows a great deal of artistic freedom. Gouache dries rapidly, allowing you to work on numerous layers without fully waiting for the paint to cure. So for any competition where the time is limited, this can help the kids to finish their artwork much more quickly.
The thing I like more about gouache is it can be revived with water, so editing or changing your work is simple. This lets you explore and make changes without being concerned about destroying your artwork. And if I talk about the media, it can also be used on canvas and board, besides paper.

And as it is portable and lightweight, it can be an excellent choice for outdoor painting and traveling.

So for the last few days, I've been experimenting with this medium, and here are some of my amateur art.

So if you are a painter, I will suggest you to give a try to this Gouache colour. It is definitely a fantastic medium for painters of all ability levels searching for a flexible, user-friendly, and opaque paint in general.
