Plant science at this time has progressed so rapidly, that the fields of knowledge that were originally only branches of science.
Plants alone, now have become independent sciences. Of the various branches of plant science that have now stood alone is Plant Morphology.
Plant morphology that studies the shape and structure of the plant's body has grown so large that it is separated into outer morphology and morphology alone (morphology in sensu stricto = in the narrow sense) and internal morphology or plant anatomy.
