After 9 years away from riding Motorcycles, I came across a good deal on a neat little scooter (technically a motorcycle but barely).
I like it because it's very economical and now I have a good excuse to stay off the freeway and not be stupid on it (which I used to be on my old Hondas).
I also like that you aren't sitting in that "scooter" posture that makes me nervous to brake hard but in the traditional bicycle or motorcycle position.
So far I've reached a top speed of 57 on it. It's a 4 speed 120cc bike.
It's a very aggressive looking little bike and it sounds and feels like you're going faster than you are but it is actually very sensible, practical and reliable transportation.
It's called a Sach's Madass and here is a video of what it's like to ride it.
In this one, we hit Northeast, Downtown, Uptown and several other neighborhoods on the way as I beeline to south Minneapolis on side streets.
I keep the speed mostly around 30mph in this video.
Skip to the 30 minute mark to see me try to go top speed.
Other than that, if you're bored, enjoy the scenery.
