Yesterday I helped Mikey with his lines for a good long while. We read through the script to the Little Mermaid musical... at least the parts he was in, several times.
It's a little cheesy. Definitely for the kids. A little bit for adults in my age bracket who grew up watching the movie, but I would say more for the kids. At least of the lines I read.
Today I have to go buy spike tape and a giant tub of vaseline for my show. The vaseline is for a single joke, but a really good, disgusting one. Food-related.
Today I have a little bit of quiet time that I intend to pour into projects I haven't touched in a while. I feel like my eyes need a reset. My work hours have all been dedicated to minor edits in the show, tiny tweaks, behind the scenes measures.
However, I realized yesterday that my counter, though sturdy, won't always be in our eyeline for the duration of the festival. Because people are unpredictable, I'm going to have to reinforce the walls in case some foolish human decides it's a good idea to sit on it and go for a ride. A little reinforcement should make it able to withstand the weight of a human being, so better safe than sorry. Hopefully I can finish this up AND do other work today. Pray for me!
