After spending couple of weeks on this platform, I arrived at the conclusion that collaboration is the fundamental strategy of Steemit.
Building a community (by following, being followed & sharing good and new ideas) on Steemit is simply a search for collaborators.
To understand how collaboration can help you, we must first understand how blind competition (not following, not being followed & not sharing valuable information) can hurt you.
Each time I look at the status of some whales listed below, upon their status they still strive relentlessly to expand and maintain a peaceful coexistence within the community they built.
