Hello hiver!
Yesterday, Sunday began with a gentle and promising light鈥攐ne of those that foretold a lovely and warm day. I went outside to walk around the town, camera in tow, looking for daily scenes and events to keep in mind, so as not to let the chance pass by.
The city still seemed to be opening in the first few hours of the walk. The photograph in the Alameda shows it all: the slanting light emphasized the ancient buildings, some with peeling paint from decades, others proud yet humble.
I walked through Col贸n Park. One tree resembled as though it had been positioned for a picture. Perhaps promising good weather, behind it the sky exhibited colors from white clouds to blue and orange.
I ran into some neighbors already up and about, one buying fruit from a street vendor, relaxed, almost as if time moved at a different pace on Sundays.
Along those streets, I saw one of those citywide gems: an old, gleaming, historical automobile. I couldn't resist grinning when considering all the places car must have passed through. It looked from a different time, yet it still comprised part of the modern scene as a mute witness to the passage of time.
But time, capricious, decided to change the plans. By afternoon, gray clouds took over the sky and it wasn鈥檛 long before a storm broke loose. Hiding under a porch, I sought to safeguard the camera and crossed my fingers that it would all go away. The wait changed the tone of the day as wet earth's scent and rain's sound on the roofs greeted it.
The roads mirrored the puddles when the storm at last died down, and people slowly emerged once more, tentatively feeling their way. Taking advantage of the first distraction, the neighbors' dog, the one that is constantly sniffing and jumping around, dashed from one side to the other, savouring its moment of independence.
In the end, I arrived back home with the camera packed with small life fragments and a contented heart. Though easy, some hikes stay with you long after they are over.

Hola hiver!
Aunque f谩ciles, algunas caminatas te acompa帽an mucho despu茅s de terminar.
