Going out on a photo hunt in Pinar del Ro is a journey of continual learning in which every stride on the roads reveals scenes that are both authentic and always shifting. The camera lens travels inquisitively from the ordinary to the amazing, recording the pulse of a city that is constantly changing in little touches.
A man on a bike passes a cart overflowing with pineapples and other fresh goods in the first picture. Perhaps he didnt stop to shop as the costs were exorbitant. The seller is either resting from a quiet moment or not in the picture.
One of these situations occurs in the middle of the city's busiest intersection. There a guy stops his tricycle. Pedal-driven and electric motor-powered tricycles are becoming more and more common on the streets of the city in recent months. This rise is motivated by rising fuel expenses and the demand for more reasonably priced, ecologically friendly options. Taken as a whole, they create a modern and strong image of life in cities. Slowly but surely becoming a must-have choice for many people, these tricycles nowadays link vital areas including hospitals, schools, and bustling communities.
Not too far away, the scene shifts to anything more mundane yet equally significant. Holding a bicycle, two guys stroll side by side. One steers the wheels, the other holds the frame. The bike is definitely damaged and they are going to the closest repair facility. This illustrates the reuse and care of the city. This little ceremony also represents the friendship and love seen in everyday life, where every little deed helps to keep life going.
Elsewhere in the city, a lady strolls deliberately and slowly along the pavement. Her eyes scan the doors holding behind them stories, the barred windows, and the house fronts. Perhaps she is searching for a home she could one day call her own, a new opportunity or a refuge for the future. Her walk conveys a combination of optimism and prudence, the want to fit in the city with all of its traces and beauty.
The difference between modern vehicles and the antique cars still in great shape is hard to miss. Two images stand out at the conclusion of the stroll: one of a Ford vehicle and one of a Jeep Willis. Both have a lot of years and stories behind them, and they are still driving around on the roads of Pinar del Ro. These vehicles, relics from another era, are maintained alive by their owners' skill and attention, therefore representing resilience and the reuse philosophy rather than disposal.
Therefore, going out to photograph Pinar del Ros' streets is also demonstrating the dialogue between past and present: vintage cars refusing to leave the road and pedal and electric tricycles pointing to the future. Side by side, they tell without words of the ability of Pinar del Ros people to persevere with pride and adjust.

Salir a cazar fotograf铆as en Pinar del R铆o es un viaje de aprendizaje continuo en el que cada paso en las calles revela escenas que son aut茅nticas y siempre cambiantes. El lente de la c谩mara se mueve con curiosidad desde lo ordinario hasta lo asombroso, capturando el pulso de una ciudad que est谩 en constante cambio en peque帽os detalles.
En la primera foto, un hombre en bicicleta pasa frente a un carrito lleno de pi帽as y otros productos frescos. Tal vez no se detuvo a comprar porque los precios eran muy altos. El vendedor est谩 descansando en un momento de calma o simplemente no aparece en la imagen.
Una de estas situaciones ocurre en una de las intersecciones m谩s concurridas de la ciudad. All铆, un hombre detiene su triciclo. Los triciclos, tanto a pedal como el茅ctricos, se han vuelto cada vez m谩s comunes en las calles de la ciudad en los 煤ltimos meses. Este aumento se debe a la subida de los precios del combustible y a la demanda de opciones m谩s econ贸micas y ecol贸gicas. En conjunto, crean una imagen moderna y fuerte de la vida urbana. Poco a poco, estos triciclos se est谩n convirtiendo en una opci贸n indispensable para muchas personas, ya que conectan 谩reas vitales como hospitales, escuelas y comunidades concurridas.
No muy lejos, la escena cambia a algo m谩s cotidiano pero igual de significativo. Dos hombres caminan lado a lado, llevando una bicicleta. Uno gu铆a las ruedas y el otro sostiene el cuadro. La bici est谩 claramente da帽ada y se dirigen al taller de reparaciones m谩s cercano. Esto ilustra la cultura de reutilizaci贸n y cuidado de la ciudad. Este peque帽o acto tambi茅n representa la amistad y el cari帽o que se ve en la vida diaria, donde cada peque帽a acci贸n ayuda a que la vida siga adelante.
En otra parte de la ciudad, una mujer camina lentamente y con intenci贸n por la acera. Sus ojos recorren las puertas que guardan historias detr谩s, las ventanas enrejadas y las fachadas de las casas. Quiz谩s busca un hogar que alg煤n d铆a pueda llamar suyo, una nueva oportunidad o un refugio para el futuro. Su caminar transmite una mezcla de esperanza y precauci贸n, el deseo de encontrar un lugar en la ciudad con todas sus marcas y su belleza.
La diferencia entre los veh铆culos modernos y los autos antiguos que a煤n est谩n en buen estado es dif铆cil de ignorar. Al final del recorrido, dos im谩genes destacan: la de un Ford y la de un Jeep Willis. Ambos tienen muchos a帽os y tras de s铆 muchas historias, y todav铆a circulan por las calles de Pinar del R铆o. Estos veh铆culos, reliquias de otra 茅poca, se mantienen vivos gracias a la habilidad y atenci贸n de sus due帽os, representando as铆 la resiliencia y la filosof铆a de reutilizaci贸n en lugar de desecho.
Por lo tanto, salir a fotografiar las calles de Pinar del R铆o tambi茅n significa mostrar el di谩logo entre pasado y presente: autos cl谩sicos que se resisten a abandonar el camino y triciclos, tanto a pedal como el茅ctricos, que apuntan hacia el futuro. Uno al lado del otro, cuentan sin palabras la capacidad del pueblo pinare帽o para perseverar con orgullo y adaptarse.
