........ Master at none 😀
We all have heard this, many of us are also familiar with what it entails. But we refuse to believe or in most cases, our belief doesn't resonate with our actions.
Yes, almost all of us have this dream of becoming experts at everything. Whenever we come across a skill fostered by someone else but we do not possess, our interest skyrockets; almost instantly.
Some of us even embark on mastering those skills only to realise later that we are no fit. But by the time we realise the truth, we have lost a significant time in our life when we could focus more on our existing skills and nurture them to flourish.
Well, accepting challenges to learn new things are always appreciable. We all are passionate about mastering new skills, no doubt. But what we lack is determination and persistence.
We lose the zeal once we had when starting our journey towards achieving excellence— making us regret the decision.
Interestingly, we are of high spirit. Ambition barely can define us.
As a result, we embark on another skill development, stop in the middle and the loop continues. This is the scenario for many of us— different in attitude and persona but united by the habit of procrastination. Also, we have one similarity. And it's too common irrespective of caste, gender, or even ethnicity— we are pro at blame-game.
Ugh, if it's not that situation I could've attained it. Ah, it's not in my luck. The time is not suitable, otherwise, there's nothing I can't do! 🤣🤣
So many excuses!
Yeah, we have them memorised so good that takes no time to utter when we fail to achieve something.
Let me share my personal experience.
I am actively involved in the #digital marketing industry for almost 3.5 years now. Well, I am not a full-fledged digital marketer but a part of it; a significant one. Throughout my career, I have worked with many experts as well as noobs. What I have noticed is those who call themselves noobs have better expertise than those who trademarks themselves as experts. Indeed, the reality says so.
Another thing I have noticed is the continuous efforts "noobs" give to achieve mastery in their respective fields. But those "experts" are always in search of new skills.
Whenever they come across a new one, they think they must adapt it to strengthen their portfolio. Of course, adding new skills into your portfolio is a good thing, but, what's with the basics? What's with the main skill you are entitled to? Have you mastered it fully? Can you build the bridge between your existing and to-be-learned skills? If you can't, my suggestion is — FALL BACK.
If can’t stick to it, polish it until it outshines others and earns you the satisfaction it is supposed to be, don’t try another.
Nah, I am not making fun of you or trying to celebrate your failure but highlighting the reality.
It's also applicable to me, I am also a master procrastinator and more than an expert in the blame game. 🤐
Well, a few months back, this was me. But now things have changed. No, it didn't change all on its own. I made this happen. It was never easy for me for I am habituated with the situation for many moons. I had to take the risks as well.
But the end result?
Yes, I feel more confident, more comfortable than I was before. Now I know what my next steps are going to be, what they might involve me in. And so, I can prepare myself accordingly battling the odds and claiming what's mine.
Pardon my ignorance, I actually, couldn’t resist beating my own drum. 😰
The tendency of mastering all available skills are too common among the Hiveians, I must confess. Fast forward, how many of you aren't tempted by the bounty "trading" offers?
Many of us are not yet into trading, but deep down, we have this feeling of becoming a trader one day. Isn't it?
What I assume, trading requires a strategic mind; similar to @Splinterlands. To some extent, it demands more than skill and strategy to be a successful trader. Playing Splinterlands is much more stress-free than trading in crypto. The determining point is here the amount you lose or gain each round. In #Splinterlands, the risk of losing your asset is not so prominent.
But, crypto, oh boy, you can lose 100 grand in a fraction of minutes. Feeling the pressure yet?
That's why we see only a handful of successful traders who are here to stay. On the other hand, thousands of others are fading away every day for they are too scared after losing a few bucks in the dip. It's all there, take a look at #leofinance and you'll see the wave of trading enthusiasts.
My point is, whatever you do, stick to it. Be passionate and set your aim accordingly. Tackle ups and downs, don't let your determination shake a bit for the uncertainty you may have to face sometimes. You will be there when it's time, hold on till that perfect moment arrives. #ctp #ocd
And one more thing, don't call yourself a trader if you have only a few hundred in the market. Focus on other pools in the ecosystem; there are plenty of them to seek bounty from. No offence.
p.s: I have a few tokens standing by worth 3/4 USD 🤑🤑🤣
